About Andrew.

Born in Whanganui on 20 July 1969 - the day Neil Armstrong walked on the moon.
Attended primary school at Kauangaroa School just past Fordell (barefeet every day and loved it!)
Grew up on a Whanganui hill-country farm, spending days in the shearing shed and scrub-cutting.
With four generations of the Tripe family in this region, I am deeply embedded in our community.
Married to Carolyn for 22 years and a proud Dad of four kids (two daughters and two sons).
In my free time I enjoy exercising, playing chess, share trading, as well as family time.

My diverse professional background brings extensive experience and broad knowledge to my role as Mayor from both private and public sectors. Career and education background includes:

IBM Global Services. Lead Change Manager in Europe’s largest change management programme at the time.
Deloitte Consulting. Directed a large-scale change project with the Bank of New Zealand.
National Australia Bank. Global role delivering one of four strategies across four continents, with 40,000 employees.
SamePage Group. As Founder and Director, I help organisations across all industries to solve complex business problems with a focus on strategy and culture change.
Cross industry sectors. Served senior executive and management consulting roles across health, mental health, disability, Crown agencies, energy, finance, manufacturing and local government.
Massey University. Postgraduate and graduate qualifications in finance, economics, human resources and marketing.
