I'm proud of what I've achieved as Mayor in the past three years.

Food scraps collection scrapped

You spoke. We listened. With the government mandate lifted, I instigated a vote to drop this, saving us 1.5% in rates.

Delivered a 6-point plan to cut cost and find efficiencies to keep rates rises low.

Through prudent financial management, paid off an additional $590k of debt as part of my strategy to keep our rates rises low.

A well-needed focus to fix our roads, footpaths and pipes to keep residents safe.

A more efficient, visible Council

Streamlined Council for more focused delivery of actions. Introduced new tools for more stronger two-way communication to ensure your voice is heard.

Water kept local

Ensured the control and decision-making of our water is kept within our region.

Launched Mayor’s Taskforce for Jobs - exceeding our targets - and became Patron of Limited Services Volunteer empowering disadvantaged youth.

Increased collaboration with neighbouring councils to save costs and plan smarter.
